  3. HLWC is a program that allows interaction with Winamp from within Half-Life, by use of commands.

  5. NOTE: HLWC is MEANT for Winamp 2.x or lower, but it can be used with Winamp 3, when the user installs a Winamp 2.x plugin controller, available at http://hlwc.thegrounds.net/Winamp_2x_Plugin_Manager.exe

  13. The "announce" function doesn't seem to work for all users, looking into it. But try turning off scrolling titles in Winamp.
  14. The menu for the tray icon won't exit on some systems, you have to restart the program if you bring it up :(

  16. Installation:

  18. Just extract the zip file to ANY folder, and run hlwc.exe.
  19. If you would like to use the commandmenu.txt, copy it to your cstrike directory. (one probably will not already be there)

  21. F.A.Q:

  23. - You must be using a version of Winamp lower than 3, in order to use HLWC with Winamp 3, you must install the
  24.   Winamp 2.x Plugin Controller ( http://hlwc.thegrounds.net/Winamp_2x_Plugin_Manager.exe )
  25. - Winamp must be running.
  26. - HLWC will NOT start up Winamp for you.
  27. - HLWC must be running while HL/CS is running in order for it to work.
  28. - This version DOES work with STEAM and CS 1.6

  30. HLWC commands:

  32. hlwc help       : Lists these commands
  33. hlwc announce   : Says the current track
  34. hlwc stop       : Stop
  35. hlwc play       : Play
  36. hlwc prevtrack  : Previous track
  37. hlwc nexttrack  : Next track
  38. hlwc pause      : Pause
  39. hlwc forward    : Fast-Forward 5 seconds
  40. hlwc rewind     : Rewind 5 seconds
  41. hlwc startlist  : Go the the start of the playlist
  42. hlwc endlist    : Go to the end of the playlist
  43. hlwc volup      : Increases the volume 1%
  44. hlwc volume     : Enter a number 0 - 255 (if no number is given, it will assume it is 0), change the volume.
  45. hlwc voldown    : Decreases the volume 1%
  46. hlwc repeat     : Toggles repeat mode
  47. hlwc shuffle    : Toggles shuffle mode
  48. hlwc opencd     : Opens an audio CD for playing
